The Roast

While most news shows were lazy enough to only ever report the story, The Roast team lived, breathed, and were frequently killed by the news, in a never-ending quest for their parents’ approval. Over 4 years we produced over 500 episodes and attracted a nightly audience of over 100,000. We killed more reporters on-screen than any other news show... Even Lateline. For those four years, my days began writing scripts from 7 am, briefing the production team on shots, graphics, props and assets, swapping hats to Art Director and designing graphics and assisting with editing the show. It was a huge job, and I’ve never worked as hard since, but the team was amazing and we were really proud of the show that we got to make together every day. (RIP Roast).
