It’s A Long Story
It’s A Long Story uncovers the formative moments from the childhoods and early careers of some of the world’s leading thinkers and culture creators. The first podcast series made by the Sydney Opera House, the series features the co-creator of the Black Lives Matter network Alicia Garza, former child soldier and now refugee lawyer Deng Thiak Adut and author Lionel Shriver, radio makers Jad Abumrad, Brian Reed and Julie Snyder, feminist powerhouses Eve Ensler, Geena Davis and Lindy West and far too many more incredible people to list.
For five seasons I produced the show end to end - I researched, wrote interviews, briefed host, edited audio, liaised with post-production crew and oversaw the marketing strategy. Over the seasons there have been some amazing moments, I've met some truly inspiring individuals and we've created a series of which I'm incredibly proud.
It's A Long Story has been downloaded over half a million times and was highly commended in the inaugural Australian Podcasting Awards.
